The Integral Message
A Spiritual Pilgrim
During the 20th century, three significant movements were pursued in people's search to enhance their life. Firstly, the growing interest in the mystical, through the various practices of meditation stimulated by the increased development of the Asian culture in the Western world. Secondly, the increased interest in the field of psychology through professional care or self-help literature. Thirdly, with increased knowledge of the globalising world the growing conviction in the importance of social justice and social responsibility across the planet.
The transition and development of Quantum theory, which spread its insights into many other domains of knowledge revealed how all reality was interrelated. Relational Spirituality is an integral approach to life which seeks to bring all three movements together and describe how the fulness of each is dependent upon its interaction with the other two movements. All is an inter-dependent dynamic of awareness.
Raimon Panikkar, Catholic priest, mystic, scientist and interfaith voice, sees such inter-dependence in the dynamic unity of Creator, Creation and Creature.
Relational Spirituality presents the call of Jesus, to love God and one’s neighbour as oneself’, as the foundation for understanding the unity of the three contemporary movements as described above.
